A new study published in the journal of pediatrics show that a daily probiotic supplement given to infants with colic may reduce their unnecessary suffering. The study contained about 50 colicky infants who were either given a probiotic or a placebo for a period of three weeks. Each of the babies in the study had been in enough pain to cry for more than three hours per day.
